Click the quick startup on the desktop to start the Scanned PDF to Excel Converter. At the lower right corner, you should see the OCR sliding button. Just make sure the button is on the right.

 

 

Step 2. Import scanned PDF files and choose the output format

Drag and drop piles of scanned PDF files to the app. Or you can click the “Add Files” button to import scanned PDF files. As you see, there is an item called “Selected pages”. It means you can choose part of the pages to convert.

 

Step 3. Select the right language for the output files

Now you need to press the “options” button on the main interface to pop up the “OCR” tab. Then on it, select the right language for the output Excel. It is very necessary to do so. Otherwise the output Excel might be the one you do not expect.

Step 4. Settings for Excel

In the Options menu, you could see a tab named “Excel”. Two options are provides: Retain value without formatting &Retain original formatting of forms. Just choose one of them. “Retain value without formatting” means the numbers, text in PDF tables are saved to the new Excel, but not in the original form. “Retain original formatting of forms” is just on the opposite site. It allows you to keep the numbers and texts in the new Excel in the original format.

Step 5. Start the scanned PDF to Excel conversion
